It's more of a question.  It's easy for me not to over eat on normal days, but I have dance almost everyday at school andthree times a week after school.  I come home at around seven on the after school dance days, and i want to eat. A salad never fills me, so I just eat more and more.  And it gets later and later.  I really hate it though because It doesn't help me loose weight at all.  Does anyone know anything tht fills you up quickly and doesn't have much calories?  Or tricks on how to stay away from the fridge at night?  Thanks

Hey everyone, my last post here was about promoting the community and making it more active with people posting more...That was a month ago.
Sorry to be a hypocrite.
In all honesty a couple hours after posting that I ran into some personal problems. Mostly due to the fact that I am a "recovered" anorexic. I won't go into details but who needs them anyway. I decided that I needed to lose some weight again, get down to 93/96lb area to make myself feel....whole...again. I was afraid of falling back into my old ways so I started out super careful, my diet only being stricted to 1300calories a day and just making general healthy eating choices. Unfortunately my calorie counting journal was found by my boyfriend who is fully aware of my past. He threatened to tell and made me promise to (try) and stop. I did honestly try but I couldn't help that my stomach had already shrank.
A week later I went to the doctor (for a totally unrelated reason) and I weighed 114lbs at 5'8". He freaked out and told my mom. So to make a long story short my every move has been under strict survellance since then. I have a feeling it might get worse as of today though.
I went to the gym and randomly stepped on the scale to see what it said...109. I was so happy I could have cried. Unfortunately, my mom was standng right behind me.
But I am recharged and ready to continue losing the weight now. Technically I should be slowly losing weight even only consuming 1600calories a day so 1300 is still in a healthy range while still losing weight that much faster.
Anyway that is my boring story about disappearing.

Hello,
I wanted to introduce myself. I am 25 years old and currently weigh 127 pounds. I am only 5'1", so weight looks bad quickly on me. I really should be around 115 pounds. I used to weigh 133 pounds and lost 16 pounds on Weight Watchers last year. Last March, I was weighing in at 117. It felt good to lose all that weight so I kind of got careless about my diet and have almost gained all of it back! It's so depressing that it takes sooo long to come off but its so easy to put it back on.

I have been trying to stay on track with Weight Watchers again but I am having trouble staying motivated. My clothes are starting to feel tight and I just can't seem to stop eating. I like the idea of this group to help me stay motivated.

Right now I am sick & I also sprained my ankle so I haven't been able to go to the gym which is really essential for me to stay fit (since my eating habits are so poor).

So anyway, I am going to try harder tomorrow. I am tracking my weight on weightwatchers.com and hopefully I can start losing instead of gaining.

More of a question than a comment! Lately I've been really into fitness, and I'm lucky enough to have a BowFlex and Excerise Bike. So, I try to ride about two miles a day, and every three days or so I do some weight training on my BowFlex. (unfortunately, my power rods on my BowFlex are broken, so instead of lifting 30 I'm lifting like..15. >_>) I don't exactly eat full meals, but I do some massive snacking all day long. My favorite secret is making little serving-sized snacks of healthy cerals and carrying them with me, baby carrots, apple slices, and bananas. Now and then I splurge and gorge myself on carbohydrates (I love pasta o_o). I was wondering if what I'm doing thus far will help me loose weight, or if my grazing will just inhibit it from happening. I've a lot of weight to loose, and I want to make the best of it!

So, in the interest of swapping ideas and spurring a discussion, what are you favorite snacking/diet secrets?

so after a gain of .2 this week at my weight watchers weigh in, and after a good look at my journals, i've come to the conclusion that i dont think i've been eating enough. the last few weeks my appetite has just been very... mehh. im not trying to NOT eat, but i've been eating when im hungry, and that doesnt seem to be enough. so today i made a conscious effort to eat more good-for-me stuff.. so here it is!


breakfast: 
1/2 cup fat free sweetened cottage cheese (2pts)
1/2 cup grapes  (.5 pts)

lunch:
1 thomas lite english muffin (1 pt)
1 chili bean veggie burger (1 pt)
1 piece ff cheddar cheese (1pt)
a big bowl of steamed broccoli (0 pts)

dinner:
salad with 4 oz tuna packed in water (4 pts)
2 tablespoons just2 good dressing (1 pt)
1 can progresso chicken and rice soup (3.5 pts)
ww ice cream for dessert! (2 pts)

snack:
1 cup post bran cereal (2 pts)
1/2 c. 1% milk (1 pt)
1 small apple (1 pt)


that brings me to my target of 20 points for the day. i also did a bunch of walking. i'd say i had a pretty well-balanced day!
